Versioning

Every release has one version across all packages: the npm packages, the Unity package and the git tag (v0.2.0) share it. Mix versions only if a release note says you can.

  • Patch (0.1.0 → 0.1.1): fixes. No API changes. Threshold changes only when they fix a misfire.
  • Minor (0.1.x → 0.2.0): may add gestures and options, retune thresholds, and occasionally change an API. Every breaking change is listed under Breaking in the changelog with what to do.
  • Gesture ids are stable: an id is never reused for a different meaning. A removed gesture stays in the Unity Gesture enum as an obsolete member so Inspector bindings keep their numbers.

Semantic versioning: breaking changes only in a major version. Threshold changes that alter when a gesture fires count as minor and are always called out, because they change how your game feels.

A stored CalibrationProfile from an older version keeps loading. When a release adds something to calibrate (as 0.2 did with head roll, for tilt), the gestures that need it stay quiet until the player recalibrates; nothing breaks.
